Earnings depend on a variety of factors including content type, audience demographics, watch time, seasonal ad rates, and whether or not your content appeals to brands and promotional partners. Some creators we work with make a few hundred dollars per month while top creators can make over a million dollars per year.

Collab creators get paid on the 1st of the month. We pay via Paypal, check, and direct deposit. We work on a rev-share basis, so we only make money when our partners make money. Revenue sources from Collab include channel, claims, promotional, and brand earnings.

Collab was built by creators to make the lives of creators easier. We've designed our services to add as much value as possible, without getting in the way of what a creator is already doing successfully on their own. Some creators may have all their bases covered and want to remain 100% independent but most can make more money and grow their audience faster with the tools and services we provide.

Not necessarily. Most of our partners choose to bring their channels into the network because our team is excellent at helping creators grow their views and subscribers on YouTube. We also have partners that choose to only take advantage of the rights management services we provide and that's ok too. We're all about providing the services and resources that creators need most and that isn't always the same for everyone.

New content is usually approved, licensed, and searchable in our system within 24 hours of acquisition. Your use of a video must illustrate and support an original point, only include a reasonable amount of someone else’s content to get the point across, draw a clear connection between the point being made and the content being used, serve as a replacement for viewing the whole original work, and create a significant transformation (i.e. criticism, poking fun, changing purpose or character of use). Collab’s rights management team considers all of these points prior to placing a copyright claim on behalf of our clients.

CollabDRM has an obligation to protect the rights of our content partners, who include hundreds of the top social media creators and many of the world's largest UGC libraries. If you believe your video mistakenly received a CollabDRM copyright claim, please get in touch so that we can review the claim.

No. Your video does not need to be taken down. However, you will not be able to continue earning revenue on the video after receiving a claim or multiple claims. The revenue will be redirected to the respective content owners.

You can dispute the claim using YouTube's dispute process. Our rights management team reviews every disputed claim. Only dispute a claim if you're confident you have the rights to use all the content in your video.
